Jesse Salcedo has turned the calling of his heart into a business - making custom made tipi available to the general public.

When you meet Jesse Salcedo, you find yourself looking into the face of a friendly and down-to-earth man. A licensed contractor for thirty years, he is redirecting his energy to honor Mother Earth. That is why he advocates the use of tipi to create a healing or quiet space. Salcedo feels that his work pays honor to his American Indian heritage and brings his customers closer to nature (he is of Apache and Mexican heritage). "It is important that I do this with grace and honor," says Salcedo, "it has to do with linking people to tradition."

When you first approach one of his tipi, you will find yourself surprised at it's sheer magnitude and simple beauty. The largest tipi is three times the height of a six foot man. The interior is spacious and sets the stage for a special get-away.

In 2003, Salcedo will make tipi available in custom fabrics (cotton blends and hemp). Currently he is developing a line of custom furniture, uniquely designed to capture the beauty of the natural materials he uses.
