This recipe is adapted from the I Never Cooked Before Cookbook, but I use a lot more gravy.
Heat 3 tablespoons butter in a nice deep frying pan or Dutch oven. Peel and chop the onion, and cook it until it's very soft. Cut the meat up in bite-sized pieces, put them in with the onions and brown them. Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the sour cream. Cook gently for 20 minutes or until you're ready for dinner, whichever is later. Add the sour cream and cook on very low heat for 5 minutes, don't let the sour cream bubble.
Serve over egg noodles.
